They just can’t leave good enough alone.
Backlash against Netflix came fast and furious when their trailer for “Dear White People” premiered on YouTube Wednesday. The show highlights the angst and rage of an angry black female at a predominantly white university. A 2014 movie of the same name received rave reviews from the usual media suspects, indicating exactly how suitable it is for consumption by sane, non-self-hating people.
As of this writing, the trailer had 538,272 views with whopping 122,111 dislikes and a tiny 6,723 likes — a ratio of 19:1 in opposition to the show. Many commenters have announced that they have cancelled their Netflix subscriptions despite having patronized the business for years.
“Thanks Netflix – FYI -Everyone in my family is ending their subscriptions with you now – have fun losing all your paying customers racist!”
“wow…imagine if the show were called dear black people. or dear Asian people. seriously?!?!?!? I thought Netflix was better than this. is this a joke?”
“Where the dear black people show? Oh that’s right we have class and don’t throw race in everyone face. This show is stupid and racist and Netflix should be ashamed of themselves for airing this s—.”
When you lose 95 percent of your customers due to a business decision, most businesses reverse course pretty quickly unless they have an extremely compelling reason not to do so.
To be sure, the Left’s media propaganda outlets are doing their best to ridicule and marginalize sane white people who object to being openly degraded by the mass media. Interestingly, they think that all the people objecting to the claptrap are Alt Right. Perhaps they should look at all the comments from people who are clearly not Alt Right. They have underestimated just how badly their anti-white propaganda fares with cuckservatives and Baby Boomers. But if they were correct, the Alt Right would indeed be huge. As I’ve written recently, their anti-white agitation is going to push normies into our race realist camp. Either way, we win.
We’ll see if Netflix responds to the hit its wallet will take from the massive number of cancellations, or if there is a “higher” calling it will follow regardless of the financial and reputational consequences.
