A pattern has consistently exhibited itself in the West over the past decades following WWII: increased multiculturalism inevitably leads to increased godlessness. Let’s take the Republic of Ireland as an example.
Ireland’s demographics have drastically changed. According to the latest figures (2016), 8% of Ireland’s population is non-white – the highest percentage in history. Between 2011 and 2016, the irreligious population doubled, while the self-identifying Christian share of the population dropped by nearly 6 percentage points to 83%. In 2016, the Irish birth rate also dropped below replacement levels for the first time in history. Last year, Ireland even got a prime minister who is a homosexual of Indian ancestry. He naturally supports both sodomarriage and abortion.
All this coincides with Ireland’s legalization of sodomarriage by popular referendum in 2015 (by 62%) and now abortion on demand (by 69%), In both cases, the younger, more multicultural, and less white generation represented the strongest yes-vote.
Ireland has clearly forsaken the Christian religion and Christian morality as it has become more racially diverse. In fact, the leftist capitalization on this demographic weakening of Ireland is so thorough, that one commentator for The Guardian wrote shortly before the abortion referendum:
It appears that at least a third of the electorate will oppose repealing the eighth amendment to the constitution, but those voters are not represented by the big political hitters – the sole party against repeal is tiny Renua, which has precisely no seats in parliament. Neither do they have any heavyweights in the broadcast or print media to express their views; I can think of two regular columnists for the main papers who are against repealing the abortion ban in the constitution – that’s it.
The Church, corrupted by the cult of political correctness, was remarkably silent. The media solidly backed the yes vote. Politicians solidly backed the yes vote. This goes for sports stars and even so-called Christian artists like “kill the Boer” Bono from U2.
Every institution, every pillar of society in Ireland (and for the most part, the entire West) has been thoroughly infiltrated and is now in control of the Left. Weakening the Christian-national spirit of the nation was an integral step in achieving this goal. They have now, literally, taken over the Republic of Ireland.
Interestingly, on the top of the island, Northern Ireland remains more conservative. Their government, largely thanks to the Christian DUP, has managed to maintain pro-life and traditional marriage legislation in tact. Demographically speaking, the country is both whiter and more Christian than the republic of Ireland. According to the latest figures, Northern Ireland is still over 98% white and much more rooted than the population of the Republic – 89% were born in Northern Ireland itself and another 7% were born in the Republic and in Great Britain. Compare this to the Republic of Ireland where 20% of the population is foreign-born.
Demographics is destiny – also for any Christian nation. Don’t be fooled next time someone tells you multiculturalism and mass immigration is an opportunity for the expansion of the gospel. The exact opposite is true: multiracial and multireligious societies are a means used by the enemies of Christendom to destroy it.
