Most offices and positions have some prerequisites that a person must meet before he is eligible for that position and the titles, privileges, and responsibilities that come with it. For example, the prerequisites for becoming a Certified Public Accountant include getting a bachelor’s degree with a certain number of accounting and business hours, an ethics course, and one year of supervised work experience, in addition to passing the CPA exam. Only after those requisites are met can a person legitimately claim the title “CPA” and gain the privileges and responsibilities which come with it. If a high school grad with no accounting experience tried to claim the title of CPA, he would be laughed at and possibly have charges of fraud brought against him. Even if just one of these prerequisites is missing, say, the ethics course, it is still illegitimate to try to claim the title and will bring with it the same penalties as the first example. Note that it does not matter how good at accounting the person is or even if people are willing to treat him as a de facto CPA; he is still not a CPA or even eligible to become a CPA until he meets the requirements of the title.
The office of President of the United States has prerequisites to eligibility too. All the men claiming the title of U.S. President, good ones and bad ones, have meet these eligibility requirements until 2008. Here is an excerpt from Article 2, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution:
No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President
Not only was Barack Obama born in Kenya, but he had only one parent who was a U.S. citizen. The definition of “natural born Citizen” requires both parents to be U.S. Citizens.
This makes Barack Obama ineligible for the office of U.S. President. His claim to the office and title of “U.S. President” are illegitimate, as are all laws and executive orders passed and issued since he entered the White House. Barack Obama’s proper title is “Mister,” not “President,” although “Usurper” and “Tyrant” are also appropriate.
