Back in 1992, when white South Africans voted 2-1 to enter a new era of multiracial liberal democracy, white liberals had high hopes for the future of what would become the so-called “rainbow nation”. Just over 5 million whites in the country at the time made up about 14% of the total population, but because of the policy of segregated neighborhoods in place until the late 1980s, it would have looked more like 75% to most South Africans in terms of their normal daily routine.
25 years on, and the demographic situation looks terribly different – the rainbow is becoming darker and darker. Statistics South Africa just released the latest population estimates, and the situation looks grim for the white population, which now dipped below 4.5 million and (at 7.95%) below 8% of the total South African population:
South Africa proves that it is highly unlikely that whites can survive as a people in the long run once they become a minority in their own country. Apart from being murdered by darker races and fleeing a crime-ridden society, whites are disincentivized to have larger families due to the incredible financial burden inevitably placed upon them by the majority races. South Africa currently has 15 million unemployed adults whose families live partially or completely off welfare. Including the children this means that there are well over 20 million mouths – or 40% of the total population – living off of taxpayers’ money. Add to this the fact that whites, despite making up less than 8% of the population, carry at least 30% of the entire country’s tax load, while receiving virtually nothing back in terms of welfare distribution.
The demographic situation is made even worse by the fact that of the population of children under age 5, whites make up a mere 4%. Children born in South Africa today are expected to grow up to live in a society where over 95% of the population is non-white.
In the current South African societal framework, whites cannot survive as a people. Multiculturalism means the death of white people, since for liberals, tenable forms of multiculturalism, such as ethnopluralism or white societies where the minority population is restricted to under 10%, are unacceptable. The only way for whites to survive in the long run is to secede into ethnically homogeneous states, where immigration from non-white countries is either highly restricted or completely forbidden.
