The American public doesn’t have any idea how bad the situation truly is along the Mexican border. In fact, the situation can probably best be summed up as “border? what border?” And let us be clear, this is being done deliberately by the government in Washington D.C.. If they wanted to, they could close down the Mexican border and make it truly secure. But they do not want to and so the border remains wide open. Not only is border security underfunded and undermanned, but they are legally tied hand and feet when it comes to enforcement. And then when States attempt to take some of the enforcement onto their own shoulders, the US Government sues them to keep them from doing so and the US Supreme Court strikes down the enforcement laws.
