Man’s God-given drive to assert himself is a good and healthy thing. The ways in which a man can exercise dominion, and conquer the outside world, are numerous. Below are just a few ways in which the energies and imaginations of bored, listless, and/or restless men can be channeled into satisfying, God-glorifying heroism.
1. Raise your children. Kings and emperors may put up monuments and name cities after them, but 0.0000000000001% of men will ever become such. However, every man can marry a woman and raise children together. There is no more tangible way in which to leave a positive imprint on this world than in the persons of your children. They will bear your genetic legacy, your memory, your name, and your faith forward through the twenty-first century and beyond. This is the most important way in which a man can change the world.
Thankfully, it is also the most achievable due to the low entry fee. You don’t need to become a CEO or political leader. All you need to invest into your children is time and effort, and every man can do that. Western man has succeeded in large part because of our tendency to invest huge amounts of time and effort into our children. This family structure also differentiates us from most other races, which have more of an “it takes a village” approach to child rearing.
2. Find, marry, and lead a great woman. Love and marriage ought to precede bearing and raising children. No sex before or outside of marriage, y’all. Your wife is your co-laborer in raising godly children. Like yourself, she will invest her time, body, and effort into leaving great young people behind who can dominate the planet for Christ and help our people reattain a glorious existence. In terms of leaving a legacy, you and she will share equal positions as planters and stewards of what (God willing) will be a healthy crop of kids. In this respect your wife is a means to an end (as are you).
However, loving and discipling your wife is also an end in and of itself, and one to which a man is uniquely geared. God has built incentives into men to help each of us accomplish this biblical task. God is clear that He intends for men to lead and pastor their wives just as Christ does the Church. We are to make them pure and spotless so that when they pass on and go to their reward, they will be prepared to meet their Creator and enjoy eternity with Christ. Therefore, the wife herself is a mission field. Not only is she a co-laborer with you in preparing kids who will strengthen our folk and belong to our God, she is to be the focus of much of your attention because you must present her to God one day. (Eph. 5:25-27, 2 Cor. 11:2)
And did I mention the sex and companionship? Yes, there’s a reason why God built men with strong sex drives. Conjugal relations are an end in and of themselves, as well as being the means to procreative ends. So wooing and leading your wife as a strong, fearless man has its own reward.
3. Build wealth, power, and relationships. Men are builders. Men innately appreciate things of value. Our children and our wives do, too, and they want us to build them up. You can build in diverse ways. You can build a social network in which you hold influence in the lives of other people — think of pastors, business executives, or gregarious “the life of the party” types, for example. You can build assets such as profitable businesses, investments, and real estate. You can build power by becoming a decision-making authority in government, law enforcement, and elsewhere. Whatever it is that you are gifted and interested in building, God can use what you build for His glory and for the benefit of your family and folk.
The imperative is to build, though, and not remain idle on the sidelines wishing and wondering and hoping while others are hard at work. Whether you’re a very young person, or someone in the midst of a midlife career crisis, or a senior citizen with time on his hands, God can bless your efforts at building something of value even if you’re not totally sure it’s what you’re good at, or if it’ll succeed, or if it’s exactly what God has called you to do. Please note that many if not most Christian adults do not know what they’re good at, if their efforts will succeed, or what if anything God has called them to do. So if you’re not sure, you’re in good company. But just think about what would happen if all these millions of Christians sat around and took career placement tests indefinitely rather than learning through trial and error. Nothing would happen. Nothing good, at least. Their bills would pile up, their talents would not be used to bless others, and their skills would become obsolete. To paraphrase Shakespeare: ‘Tis better to have labored and lost, than to never have labored and learned from the experience.
4. Get physically fit. Get strong. Get fast. Get flexible. Get tough. Get your body clean. In all areas of life — women, kids, work, service to God and nation — physical health multiplies your successes. Unsurprisingly, God has seen fit to reward those who invest their time and energy into physical training. He rewards hard physical training with extra strength, toughness, and energy for the greater works listed here. It’s an investment you ought to make. You won’t regret it.
5. Do your part in the restoration of your civilization. Save your people. Don’t put it off. You’ll regret it if you do. In the fight for our people and our faith, service to God and service to folk are inseparable. In the Gospels, Christ said that as a grain of wheat must die for it to become a new, flourishing plant, the man who gives his life for the Gospel will be rewarded with something far greater than what he invested. Christ has promised hundredfold rewards for our sacrifices. Idleness will not stave off defeat. An unwillingness to sacrifice for our people and our God will not keep danger far from you. In other words, those who compromise will still suffer at the hands of our enemies. Unlike those who take the risk of open confrontation, however, those who compromise and shrink from danger will never have the honor of having stood up for themselves, or any hope of victory. Conquer, or die.
