The tragic Griekwastad murders, in which a white couple and their daughter were murdered, occurred on Good Friday last year. The only suspect in the case is a seventeen-year old boy, also white, whose identity is protected by law as he is a minor. If found guilty, the boy, who was merely fifteen at the time of the murder and a ninth-grade pupil at Grey College in my hometown, will prove to be merely another product of the horrid and declining South African government school system, which tolerates only the religion of humanism. However, a report claiming that the AWB was behind these murders appeared in South Africa’s leading news outlet today. It was reported that Cornelia De Wet, “a female member of the Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging (AWB) [claimed] that an AWB ‘hit squad’ carried out the murders of three members of a Griekwastad family on their Northern Cape farm last year.” The report further states that “she implicated the owner of a local security company as being the mastermind of the farm attack, saying it was carried out in order to incite racial hatred and instil [sic] a sense of fear among local farmers, which would force farmers to make use of his security services.”
A few hours later, the leader of the AWB, Steyn von Ronge, responded with a press release, published on Facebook:
The AWB cannot be held responsible for the activities of any member, prospective member or any person who presents him or herself as a member of the AWB. It is ludicrous to think that a movement such as the AWB, a movement that strives to protect its members and other white members of the public, would make itself guilty of the allegations of Ms. Cornelia De Wet. It is truly astonishing to hear that almost everyone believes her allegations. Please ask yourself the following questions: Have the women’s allegations been tested at all? No. Has it been convincingly proved that Cornelia De Wet is a member of the AWB? No. To use a tragic event such as the murder of the Steenkamp family to seek sensation in and by the media, is mind-blowing. And to use the so-called “right-wing death squads” as bait is once again the liberal media’s method of drawing money from an already impoverished community. . . . Why are murderers, rapists and child molesters not linked to a political party? Why is it only when there are reports concerning whites, that they are portrayed as right-wingers who wants to plant bombs? The AWB hereby distances itself from the words and deeds of Ms. Cornelia de Wet.
Von Ronge makes a very valid point when he rhetorically implies the media’s prejudice against whites, particularly white Afrikaner nationalists. Let me illustrate this with some simple statistics. Taking the voter turnout into account, 36% of South Africa’s population over age eighteen supported the ANC at the polls during the previous election.1 An estimated 50 people are murdered and 178 raped every day in South Africa.2 Now, let’s be conservative and say that ANC supporters commit 36% of the rapes and murders in South Africa. Obviously, the true figure would be considerably higher, since blacks are much more likely to commit violent crime than whites and the ANC enjoy nearly 80% of blacks’ votes, compared to only 3% of the white Afrikaner vote.3 Nonetheless, even by a most conservative estimate, ANC supporters murdered at least 18 people and raped 64 people today in South Africa. Obviously, I don’t claim to have just completed a solid scientific study with this little calculation, but the point is that numerable people are raped and murdered by ANC members every day. Furthermore, unlike with the AWB, there is actual evidence that the leaders of the ANC encourage the slaughter of whites in South Africa, by implication inciting racial hatred and instilling a sense of fear among local white farmers. Nonetheless, nothing even remotely like this report would ever be suggested by the local media with respect to the ANC – but let one convicted felon (possibly bribed), with nothing to lose and a desire for sensation, make an absurd claim from behind prison bars implicating white nationalists, and it easily makes the headlines.
The slandering of the AWB is reminiscent of the slander Golden Dawn faced recently, following the death of the left-wing Greek rapper, Killah-P. Now the left-wing establishment has proven itself once again to be relentless in the persecution of Occidental nationalists in their own countries. May God deliver us from this foreign Marxist tyranny.
