This week and last week, two debates took place in Great Britain between Nick Clegg, leader of the Liberal Democrats, and Nigel Farage, leader of the United Kingdom Independence Party, over that country’s relationship with the European Union. Farage argued for an immediate referendum and leaving the EU, while Clegg, as a leader of one of the three establishment parties, argued against a referendum and for a maintaining of the status quo. There are problems with UKIP’s Libertarianism, but, with their anti-EU, immigration restrictionist, and anti-totalitarian positions, they are far better than any of the corrupt establishment parties. As the leader of the smallest of the three establishment parties, the Liberal Democrats are more guilty by participation rather than as primary leaders and thus the choice by the establishment of Clegg as the sacrificial lamb, since he is somewhat less vulnerable to direct attack than the leaders of either Labour or the Conservatives, although of course no less culpable in the march towards the abyss. It’s interesting to note that as in case of America, where America and American have become synonymous with Liberalism and thus the founding fathers’ beliefs have become labeled as anti-American, Europe is now defined by the Marxists and Globalists running the EU to be synonymous with the EU. So those groups fighting to save Europe and the European peoples in opposition to EU totalitarianism are labelled as taking the anti-Europe and anti-European position. These debates are a great example of why establishment politicians as a rule generally avoid debating anyone who doesn’t agree with their fundamental presuppositions. Whenever they’re forced to defend their bankrupt positions and records against someone with teeth, they lose and lose badly. Polls are showing that the British public felt Farage won the second debate against Clegg by a margin of over 2 to 1 (68% – 27%).
