I became a father a couple of years ago, and as is the case with all godly fathers, it was a life-altering experience for the better. I’m already catechizing my little one in the basics of my worldview: God is in heaven and He reigns; Christ is King, our Savior, and only hope. I honestly can’t wait for the day that I can teach my children about theonomy, ethnonationalism, Calvinism, and the right-wing worldview. God providentially entrusts these little ones to us, their parents, in His wisdom, for very good reason.
While they are still very young and unable to grasp many of the important matters in life, God can use these little ones to teach us most valuable life lessons. My little (almost) two-year old recently taught me a lesson on just how depraved liberalism really is. I watched him playing in the soil in our back yard, and getting himself dirty. As I called him, my two-year old looked up and smiled back at me – with hands and face covered in dirt. It was an awesome moment, and one that invoked a very important aspect of the Agrarian-Kinist worldview to my mind.
I immediately thought about that old German nationalist slogan: “Blut und Boden,” or “Blood and Soil”. That is what I saw right in front of me: my Blut, flesh of my flesh (Gen. 2:23; Judg. 9:2; II Sam. 5:1; II Sam. 19:12-13), cultivating, in his own primitive way, my Boden, the soil God entrusted into my stewardship (Gen. 1:28). The idea of Blood and Soil is deeply rooted into the created reality, but its richest philosophical development was found among nineteenth-century German anti-Enlightenment thinkers, such as Wilhelm Heinrich Riehl, who propounded the idea that the German land and people are intrinsically tied to one another. This wasn’t a novel idea at the time, but as was Riehl’s intention, it expressed an age-old wisdom derived from the beginning of time from both God’s natural and special revelation.
The principle naturally extends a minore ad maius from the nuclear family to to the clan, tribe, nation, and race. Loving your own in all these different spheres starts with the simple joy of watching your little one play in the dirt. That which the Left, inspired by Frankfurt School Marxism, degrades as “racist,” “Nazi,” or “bigoted” is indeed nothing less than a most gracious gift from our Creator, for our enjoyment – unto the ultimate end of our existence – God’s glory.
This is what the prevalent worldview in the West today, Cultural Marxism, does. It inverts all true morality, aesthetics, and principles, and presents that which is good and beautiful, as bad and ugly. From celebrating the destruction of the traditional family, cultural degradation, and the neglect of divinely ordained borders and covenantal structures to actively promoting fornication, gender confusion, child sacrifice, and debt. There is nothing good that the Left is not determined to destroy, and there are no bounds to the degeneracy they would promote among our people to achieve their evil ends.
Fathers, therefore, in the fear of God, have as vital a role as ever to play in countering these brutal attacks by rearing their children in that same fear of God. No child born today will grow up free from these attacks – it is, sadly, everywhere engraved in modern society. We must fight back, and raise our children to grow up to be honorable and loyal servants and citizens of the eternal Kingdom of our Lord. I believe there is perhaps no greater earthly joy than seeing this manifested.
